Lovingrace is a transitional living facility that aims to EMBRACE every resident, to EDUCATE them with the tools they need to succeed and live an EMPOWERED life.
LovinGrace encompasses two fruitful programs designed to lift young women out of poverty and reduce the need for foster care in Jasper County, Missouri as well as surrounding counties. Our two faith-fueled programs, Oglsby House and Doris' House, are located on the same LovinGrace property in Joplin, MO.
Oglsby House is a transitional home for vulnerable, houseless young women ages 17-24. Our program empowers our residents to identify, develop, and achieve goals in the areas of education, employment, access to services, financial matters, support systems nutrition and interpersonal skills. Our program's mission is to stop the cycle of poverty, giving the next generation the chance for a safe, full, meaningful life.
Doris' House is a transitional home for vulnerable, houseless, pregnant or parenting young women ages 17-24. Our program at Doris' House invests in our residents, helping them to identify, develop and achieve goals in the areas of education, employment, access to services, financial matters, support systems, interpersonal skills, nutrition and parenting. Our program's mission is to reduce the stress on the foster care system by providing the care, support, and teaching necessary for a young mother to raise and bond to her child. Thus she will be able to finish the building blocks for a stable and healthy life with proper support.
Our purpose is to support, teach and encourage each young woman recognize the potential, inherently inside them, to become independent, healthy, connected individuals after working through our program.
