Ambassadors for Children Mobile Clothing Closet
Project of
Council of Churches of the Ozarks
Ambassadors for Children is the only local organization that provides brand new clothing to children and youth in foster care. We are in need for a new mobile traveling truck to reach children and youth that are not able to make it to our store front facility in order to receive new clothing.

Project Overview
Ambassadors for Children works to instill a sense of self worth and dignity to both children and youth in foster care. One of the greatest ways to impact this group of kiddos is by giving them new clothes they can chose for themselves.
Since the pandemic, many foster families have come to us for services. The children with the greatest need are those living in local group homes formerly known as orphanages. Children in group home settings have very limited access to services and resources away from campus. If we don't have the ability to bring our mobile unit to local group homes, many kids will miss out on the opportunity to be on the receiving end of brand new clothing and shoes.
Last year our mobile unit served more than 200 kids. That is 200-plus children that had no other resource to meet them where they reside. Our current mobile unit is very unsafe and needs many repairs just to make it from point A to B. It is an older model box truck with hardware breaking down and dilapidated equipment. Anytime we take the truck out for mobile distribution, we are praying that it will bring us to the location and back.
By donating to this cause, you will have a hand in providing new clothing to hundreds of children and youth in foster care. Also, you will inspire hope amongst the foster community who desperatly need it.
