CLC is an inclusive center that serves students of all abilities.
Some special needs that we have served and continue to serve, include: Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis, Autism, Scoliosis, Down Syndrome, Global Delays, and more.
Children's Learning Center stands apart from other centers as a Missouri Accredited Center that collaborates with Camden County Developmental Resources, Missouri First Steps, and the Camden County public school system.
Many students that attend CLC require the help of a one-on-one aide or paraprofessional. Some of our students are partially funded, while others are not, which requires extra fundraising to make up the difference. In a special education environment, a paraprofessional may be assigned to one student or work with a group of students. It is clear that having an aide is immensly helpful to students in special education or inclusive classrooms that need additional attention or assistance. Examples of how some of our students may need assistance: walking, eating, communicating, transitioning through a daily routine, going to the bathroom, sitting at circle time, dancing, taking breaks from the group, and more.

THANK YOU for your contribution to CLC! Without the support of the public and other agencies, CLC could not provide their services to children ages 2-6 that have special needs and developmental delays. Right now CLC is at capacity with more than 75% of students having some kind of developmental delay or disability. The need for our center has only increased since the pandemic, and we hope to continue offering our services to the Lake of the Ozarks' community for years to come.
On behalf of all of the staff, families, and students at Children's Learning Center,
THANK YOU for your donation!
