Project Overview

The Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri is providing vaccinations to area residents in need to help slow the transmission of COVID and to save lives in our community. However, there is minimal funding available to support the expenses associated with administering the vaccines. The Clinic is seeking funds to cover the costs of vaccine materials (including syringes, bandaids, alcohol wipes, masks, and gloves); clinical staffing to administer the vaccine; administrative staffing to schedule vaccination appointments; and transportation costs to provide the clinics in rural areas.

About THE COMMUNITY CLINIC OF SW MISSOURI

The Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri is a nonprofit organization that offers a wide variety of services to meet the needs of people who are uninsured.  Our mission is to improve the health of people in our community without access to medical and dental care.  80% of our patients are the working poor, they make too much money for Medicaid but cannot afford marketplace insurance. The Clinic receives no governmental assistance with funding coming from local donors and foundations. All specialists are volunteer providers, giving their time and talents to our patients. Our services are provided at no charge, but donations are accepted.

In the midst of the COVID pandemic, the Community Clinic has stepped up to provide vaccines to people most in need. To date, the clinic has provided nearly 1000 vaccines and will continue to provide vaccination assistance throughout this pandemic. Funding from this event will be used to provide equipment and staffing to manage the COVID vaccination clinics throughout southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas.
