Feeding the Future

Many of our friends and neighbors are still working hard to recover from the financial impacts of COVID-19, and thousands of people in southwest Missouri aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. You can help them put food on the table and find hope for the days ahead.

Project Overview
Every day, hopeful and hardworking people in southwest Missouri visit one of Ozarks Food Harvest’s hunger-relief partners. Some of them have recently lost jobs, others are barely making enough money to support their children, and many have been living with unexpected expenses like emergency car repairs or medical bills for far too long. The issue of hunger already affects 1 in 5 children and 1 in 7 adults in the Ozarks, and COVID-19 has brought so many people to food pantries for the first time in their lives over the last year. We need your help to get them the food they need right now.
As a Feeding America food bank responding to the pandemic, Ozarks Food Harvest has hosted 115 Mobile Food Pantries that have provided 1 million meals, and we purchased an additional $3.6 million of food to ensure our pantries could keep their shelves stocked. In total, Ozarks Food Harvest provided a record-breaking 22 million meals to families facing hunger last year.
These neighbors have families to take care of—and they need help putting food on the table right now. When you donate to The Food Bank, you can help them fuel their bodies well now so they can reach their full potentials in the future. Help us reach our goal of $15,000 that will help provide 60,000 meals.
Your gift today will help people like…
Patty, who is on a fixed income and receives a variety of nutritious groceries from the senior center in her neighborhood every month. The food gives her the strength she needs to play with her grandchildren and enjoy time with her family.
Jack, who can’t contain his excitement when his teacher hands him his bag of meals and snacks every Friday of the school year. Through the Weekend Backpack Program, Jack has plenty of food to eat over the weekends, and he comes to school on Monday ready to learn and play with his friends.
Janet, a single mother who works several jobs to take care of her children. Her hours have been reduced because of the pandemic, but she’s been visiting a local food pantry for the past few months so she doesn’t have to worry about sending her kids to bed hungry.
Your donation today will help these neighbors and so many others get the food they need through Ozarks Food Harvest’s network of 270 food pantries, feeding sites, Mobile Food Pantries and programs like the Weekend Backpack Program and Senior Food Program. Together, we can Transform Hunger into Hope and feed the future.
