Your generous donation puts us $50 closer to our goal! A $50 donation could supply a person with an ARA® bottle filled with water, stickers to personalize the bottle, and allow us to run water drives to build connections and support the most vulnerable in our community. Please plan on returning to this page to check our project’s progress as we near our deadline.

Your generous donation puts us $100 closer to our goal! A $100 donation would make a HUGE impact in meeting a basic need for those in our community. Water may be easy for many of us to find and keep cold daily, but for those without a place to call home, it's a real challenge. This donation would provide 3 bottles... 3 potential lives saved from dehydration. It would also allow us to work with partners for daily water refills, and begin building a resources page to help members of our community get on their feet. It starts with meeting a basic human need of water and could end with recipients finding a place to call home. Please plan on returning to this page to check our project’s progress as we near our deadline.

Project Overview

The ARA® Water Foundation in partnership with Community Partnership of the Ozarks is looking to make waves in Springfield by brining the mission of cold, safe drinking to those experiencing homelessness. To make this happen the two are teaming up to raise $20,500. Thus far they have already raised $14,300. We are seeking YOUR help to cover the remaining amount! This money will be used to fund 500 massive white 64 oz. bottles filled with water to people experiencing homelessness along with the creation of safe refill sites. Our goal is to fully fund this project in 30 days and begin distributing in November, Homeless Awareness Month.

________________________________________________________________

If I asked you the first thing you thought of when supporting people experiencing homelessness, you’d likely say food. I know I used to. Water has always been an afterthought for this community. Since a majority of us never have to struggle to find cold and safe drinking water, it is easy to assume no one does. Sadly, that isn’t true when you’re living outdoors, trying to survive.

Every year hundreds of people experiencing homelessness in the United States die due to dehydration and heat exhaustion. We are working to end these preventable deaths! The most vulnerable in our community have enough challenges that finding cold, safe water shouldn't be one.

This is why the ARA® Water Foundation was created. ARA®, for short, pronounced air-ah, is a feminine name meaning "bring the rain." Our mission is to bring cold and safe drinking water to those experiencing homelessness, through the distribution of 64 oz. white stainless steel water bottles. These bottles keep water cold for 24 hours and safe from the elements. This isn’t a one-time donation though! Together ARA® and Community Partnership are teaming up with different organizations, gas stations, and businesses that allow for refills daily. This means a bottle recipient can now have access to cold and safe drinking water daily!

A donation today means YOU could be the reason a person never goes thirsty again. It is a basic human right and we are here to make that known! Join our wave of change today! When members of our community are struggling to meet a basic human need. – Together we will be there to fill it.
